Panamá holds a special place in our hearts.
We raised our family here.
Originally from the beautiful coastal town of Savannah Georgia, my husband and I moved to Panamá in 1989 to become part of the Smithsonian in Panama. We have happily raised our three children in this vibrant environment. Gamboa is a true gem for the naturalist as well as a golden opportunity for the history buff. Río Mar became one of our favorite spots with its expansive beaches. We’ve been playing and surfing there since 2003. We are passionate about providing spaces and resources for more people to come and experience the beauty here in Panamá.
Cheers!

A few words from our guests

"All of Chimene's properties are so intentionally crafted, making you feel like you are part of the jungle. The whole experience was enchanting, and we couldn't have asked for a more unique and wonderful stay. A huge shout-out to Chimene for creating such a special haven in the heart of nature. She was incredibly accommodating and helpful in every step of the planning for this retreat. She is a SUPER next-level host." - Kate

"Our hosts were friendly, helpful, but never intrusive: they took care of us before check-in by setting up hummingbird feeders far enough in advance to establish a resident population, guided us through the day-to-day necessities like shopping and utilities, and followed though after check-out to be sure our experience was wonderful throughout. Nature lovers should not hesitate to book this oasis. Gamboa is a marvelous small town." - Kimberly

"This place is absolutely incredible. Myself and 8 friends (all 25 year old males) stayed in this place for 8 days. It had everything we needed (and more) and we could not believe that it was real. Chimene was INCREDIBLY responsive, immensely accommodating, and has extensive knowledge of the surrounding areas. She provides you with everything you need to know prior to your trip, and checks on you during your stay." - Brendan

Enjoy a cup of our Sagasa Barú Coffee grown right here on our coffee farm in Boquete, Panamá.
Sagasa Barú coffee gets its name from a bird that nobody has seen. Myth says Volcan Barú erupted leaving death and destruction and one gift, the Sagasa bird. The little bird brought life back to the mountain flying far and wide, fertilizing the land and seeding it with the sacred coffee bean. From that time, she has watched over the coffee plants that cover the steep slopes of Volcan Barú, her melodic song bringing their fruits to maturity with exquisite flavors that dance on the tongue.
Our daughter wrote this little story for our coffee bag packaging (we love it!)
Whenever possible, we include one pound of our Sagasa Barú coffee beans for our guests to enjoy during their stay.
